Kimberly Anne Bendix (born May 2, 1984) is a native Chicagoan. She is of Swedish, Russian and German descent. Kim has referred to herself as a 'gypsy', having spent her childhood in many neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area. Kim is the great-cousin (via her paternal grandfather) of Oscar nominated character actor William Bendix. One of her earliest performances was around age 6 when Kim took tap dance lessons and performed a dance recital for the community using hula hoops. "They had me go on and they ran out of hula hoops, so I went up there without one and improvised my way through it." Kim's mother decided to put her in acting classes, and at age 7, her first play featured her in lead role of Santa Claus. "I was scared to death and was crying the whole way there, until I got on stage, and have been acting ever since." Kim studied at the Chicago Actor's Studio in 2006-07, where her instructor was Green Hornet co-star Edward Dennis Fogell. She cites Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Vivien Leigh and Clara Bow as her acting influences. Kim is a self-taught pianist, guitarist and comic book artist.
